Stay-n-Train

Doggieology101 Stay-n-Train

For dogs older than 6 months of age with no behavioral issues (fear, anxiety, aggression, etc)

Our stay-n-train program runs for a minimum of 6 nights. Two or three weeks are even better depending on the nature of the dog’s behavior issues (any human or dog to dog aggression is a minimum of three weeks). By living at my home, your dog will develop a new foundation and state-of-mind that will make it easy for you to continue the training at your home.  This will empower you to continue developing a new and incredible relationship with your dog. While your dog is with me, he/she becomes one of the family and will receive daily leadership and obedience training. We will work on strengthening basic commands, social skills with other dogs and a great deal of leadership/foundation work which includes mastering the walk, threshold work, crate and duration commands such as place. If you have other issues/commands you’d like us to concentrate on, we can work on those as well depending on the length of stay. Your dog will go on field trips to uptown Antioch and/or surrounding areas where we’ll practice good dog manners while walking and greeting strangers. He will also have playtime with other dogs and at least one daily 45-60 minute pack walk through the woods on our 10-acre property. She will ride with me in the car to various locations and practice obedience and good leash manners wherever we go! After a busy day, he will sleep along with the other nine dogs in our pack!

Below you will find general descriptions of the Stay-n-Train programs. Programs can be often tailored to match your needs and the needs of your dog.

OPTION 1: One Week (6 nights/7 days)

For dogs older than 6 months of age with no behavioral issues (fear, anxiety, aggression, etc)

In this program, your dog will learn the following skills and commands, all On-Leash:

Since this program is short, there is more onus on the owner understands to continue to pattern the commands once the dog goes home. This is crucial for the behaviors to become habitual.

The one week option includes:

  • Walk politely with you (No more pulling, barking, excitable behavior)
  • Sit
  • Down
  • Duration Work using the Place Command (short stays on Place)
  • Recall/Come-on lead
  • Crate Training
  • Waiting for Food
  • Waiting at Thresholds (Doors, Car, Crate, etc.)

Rate: $980

(A Herm Sprenger prong/training collar is included)

*E-collar training can be started in one week, but there is an increased work load for the owner after the week is completed. Talk with senior doggieologist, Carla for more info.

Option 2: Two Week Program (13 nights/14 days)

E-collar training

For dogs older than 6 months of age with no serious behavioral, aggression issues, etc)

**This is our most popular Stay-n-Train!**

We  offer low-level, communication-style E-Collar training. Our E-Collar program is amazing and is nothing like old E-Collar training. Contemporary E-Collar Training utilizes the softest, most gentle remote communication, and is one of the most humane and effective approaches to dog training available.

In this program, your dog will learn the following skills and commands On and Off Leash, using the ecollar:

  • Walk politely with you On-Leash/Beginning Off-Leash (No more pulling, barking, excitable behavior)
  • Sit/Stay
  • Down/Stay
  • Place Command
  • Recall/Come
  • Duration work (stays on Place with distractions)
  • Crate Training
  • Waiting for Food
  • Waiting at Thresholds (Doors, Car, Crate, etc.)

Each program includes a 30-minute consultation on our starting day, a 2-hour follow-up at the end of the program where we will transfer all of the information, techniques, and strategies to you to insure continued success.

Price: $1740

*Each dog receives a top-of-the-line Educator E-Collar, as well as a prong/training collar ($210 value).
